Can the ZYTO diagnose disease?
NO, It surveys the body to determine which organs and systems in the body are experiencing stress and what we can do to help bring your body back to a state of balance or homeostasis.
What are the circles with green and red dots?
Your body is supposed to stay in a state of Balance. This is also known as homeostasis. When one organ is not working the way it should or is having to work harder than it should, we call this stress. Or being out of balance. Each dot around the “Wagon Wheel” represents an organ, meridian, nerve or other vital function in your body. The green ones (inside the circle) are in balance. The red ones (outside the circle) are out of balance. It is important that we bring as many of the Red Dots to the middle of the circle or into balance.
The ZYTO tests your body for many different food supple-ments, vitamins and homeopathic remedies. These are called balancers. The products that are most favorable are at the top of the list. The ZYTO tells us how many “stressors” each product will bring into balance.
What will subsequent scans show me?
It is not correct to think that your scan will be the same on subsequent visits. We usually look for patterns in a patient. Some patients have deficiencies that cause thyroid problems, for others it is pain, for other it may be digestive problems or emotional stress and anxiety. The strength is in the patterns that we see and not on one individual test. It is normal for a person to go through life and have weaknesses in one organ or system of organs that cause recurring symptoms for the patient. Our goal is find the proper supplementation to decrease the stress that the body is experiencing.
Is using the ZYTO scan going to cost me more money?
We regularly see patients taking many vitamins based upon things that they have read, or what friends have told them they should be taking. It has been our experience that a patient will be taking less supplements than they were taking prior to testing with ZYTO. You will also be taking the supplements that your body needs the most and will respond the best to. When a patient shops for a vitamin they really have no way of knowing which one will be most beneficial for them. Now you do!
Why should I take food supplements?
Eating a diet rich in whole foods is the best way to get your vitamins and maintain health. However, busy lifestyles and the Standard American Diet (SAD) can leave us lacking many important nutrients. We use specially formulated whole food supplements that can bridge this nutritional gap.
When comparing vitamins, examine the source of the ingredients. Man made compounds, found in typical retail vitamins, provide vitamins and minerals (in a chemical sense). Our Vitamins go a step further – by delivering whole food ingredients. Vitamins comprised solely of single vitamins and minerals do not have a full spectrum of components that whole food vitamins offer. In addition, we sell professional grade supplements that are not available in a retail store.
Can I stop taking my medications?
NO! You should be consulting the physician that prescribed the medication for you. If you are taking medication for high blood pressure, cholesterol or diabetes you should monitor these closely because many of our patients have had to stop taking these meds.
What makes your supplements different?
Our office has chosen to focus on Whole Food Supplementation. We believe that human beings were designed to eat foods. Foods that come of the Plant and Animal Kingdom. Many supplements that you purchase in the store are manufacture by pharmaceutical companies. These amount to chemical byproducts that no longer resemble a food.
Foods have the enzymes and cofactors in them that make them more digestable and better for you. The supplements that we have choosen to use in this office are made from wholefood concentrates.
In addition, most of them are made by companies that sell only to healthcare providers. So most our supplements are specially formulated from high quality food concentrates and are not available in a healthfood store. We often send our patients to the local healthfood stores to get products that may be beneficial and ones that we do not carry.
Are these supplements covered by insurance?
In most cases supplements are not covered by insurance because they are are considered a food. However, many patients have been able use them from their HSA or flexible spending account. They may also be tax deductible when they come from a doctor’s office. You cannot do this with supple-ments your buy in a healthfood store. You should consult your accountant or insurance company for more information to be sure.
What is the meaning of the food stressors test?
In the realm of food allergy there is much disagreement amongst health professionals on the best way to determine a food allergy or sensitivity. There are skin tests, blood tests, pulse test and saliva tests. Each of these test have there strengths and weaknesses. The ZYTO measures the electrical equivalent of the products on your scan. It then determines which foods are the most stress inducing to your body. This is indicated by a larger negative number. We generally try to get the patient off of the top
Food Stressors
This scan should be run about every 2 months or so. It will change based upon your diet, your environment and how much other stress your body is dealing with.
How often should I have a ZYTO scan?
We generally like scan a patient about one time per month. Your body will change on a regular basis depending what other physical, emotional, and environmental stress you are experiencing during a given time.
Why do your vitamins have organ meats in them?
This is called glandular support and many nutritional therapists have found that we are unable to get a full array of nutrients that a patient may need from the plant kingdom. And we cannot get these nutrients from chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
I have not yet encountered a patient that has “Aspirin or Tylenol Deficiency Syndrome.” However, I have seen many patients that have benefited from the help of glandular support in form of food concentrates.
